7600GT overclocked vs 7800gt overclocked

I have two card sitting right here in front of me:
Gigabyte 7600GT SilentPipe II
eVGA 7800GT OC

Either card would be watercooled in the system below (the current 7600GT I have I'm giving to a relative), and I'll probably find some cheap memory sinks online as well.

I'm aware that the 7600GT OCs much better than the 7800gt due to the smaller manufacturing process, but the 7800GT has a few more pipes to it.

My question: Would a 7600GT at an average OC outperform a 7800GT? (and would an OC'd 7800GT be able to get back on top)?

I havent seen a 7600GT run much higher than 615/1624, you can get a evga superclocked to 600/1500. I dont think theres a lot left in the factory overclokced 7600's.

A regular 7800gt should stomp a overclocked 7600gt.

I do not think an overclocked 7600GT would touch the performance levels of the 7800GT at stock. It may be close, but once the 7800GT is overclocked, it will be superior.
