Car Audio

I'm looking to buy two 12" subs and an amp online, but have no idea what I should look for or where to start. All together, I want to spend under $1000.00 on (2) 12" subs, one amp, a box, wiring, and labor for the shop to do it. If you could, just reccomend some good brands or anything.

Ive got 2 RE 12" XXX woofers, and a matching RE amp. The subs are enclosed in a custom ported enclosure, but Im asking 3,400$ for it all(without shipping thr 300LB enclosure).

I reccomend buying new subs and amps. Get Resonant Engineering subs, and a hifonics, or RE amplifier. It all depends on what you want, SQ, or SPL. Tell me more on what kind of sound you want. Low frequencys, high frequency spectum? Loud? Quality? power?

not sure if you're trying to say that you're selling that, but that's WAY over my price range.

that's what I intend to do. So far I have nothing in my car except the stock stuff.

ok ok... Ill get a nice setup figured out and PM you the product list. You do realise that youll have to build your own enclosure, right? Buying a pre built enclosure is useless. Youll get better bass from a custom enclosure.

I run 2 10" RE subs and an MBQuart RAA2400 amp and it was well under $1000

Unless you want to be heard 2 blocks away the basic RE line 12" subs and a 500-700 watt amp should be plenty

If you could do 10" subs I have my 10's for sale for $115 shipped

scooby is right, a 10 should suffice you, unless you will be competing. Thats why I have all these subs.

I really all depends on the enclosure, I beat someones 2 15's with a single 10". Difference: he had a factory built enclosure, mine is custom.

I'm thinking about getting 2 12" JL Audio W7s, but have no idea what amp/enclosure I need.

EDIT*** Nevermind, because the amp for that is super expensive.

I can help you build the enclosure(well, i can get you plans) but the amp choice depends on what you want. Do you want it to be loud?

first off, you are all starting at the wrong place IMO

what kind of car do you have.

different setups sound better in different cars
