The title says it all. Should I reinstall windows or what?

I'd run memtest first(if you haven't already) and ensure that your settings are 100% stable. These problems are usually caused by memory errors or failing(inadequate) PSUs.

You can download memtest+ here:

http://www.memtest.org/

Grab it, burn it to a disc, then boot from it. It should help clear up the picture a bit.

How old is the OS? You might want to try the "Repair" function by booting up with the original XP CD.
