Another user of the tbird here, although I think there must be a better option for me. :| I've just never really liked the feel of it, and miss having loads of little options like I used to have with The Bat.

If you feel like spending a little $ then try The Bat! out. It is a really nice program with loads of neat features.

Thunderbird for me. Have the Tiger Mail theme installed for what is IMO a very nice clean mail program.

Is Thunder bird a professional email program; meaning do you have to pay to use it?

Tbird here as well but I have noticed that if you put in very many filters for emails, it doesnt always follow the rules.

I am going to have to blow away all my current rules and redo them to see if something is conflicting before I open a bug ticket or anything.

THUNDARBIRD I SWARE

Haha, seriously though - it's a lot more secure than Outlook / Outlook Express, supports PLUGINS for added functionality, supports pop3 and/or IMAP, has a great interface for multiple mail accounts...

I will use thunderbird until the sun goes cold or they stop developing it.
