Softmodded my xbox recently and need suggestions on a good switch/hub that will share the connection with my computer which is already connected to a linksys router upstairs. Will be using it to ftp to my xbox and stream media from my computer so I can watch it on my TV (XBMC is bad ***). 100Mbps would be nice but that might be overkill.

was thinking along the lines of....

thanks,

You want a fast ethernet switch, not a hub. 10MBit/s could be too low when you factor in samba overhead.

It's probably pretty hard to get anything below fast ethernet anymore.

Any 10/100 switch you can find today, brand name or random cheapo brand is fine if you are budget conscious. I doubt you can find a hub at any major retailer anyways (also bet that it will cost more then a same size switch if you do).

10mbit is overkill for streaming standard media found on the internet today.
