Looking for a $200-$300 LCD in the next 2 months

I'm planning to buy a new LCD monitor sometime in the next 2 months. I mostly use my computer for programming and some gaming. I'm looking for at least a 19" monitor. I currently have a 17" BenQ FP767, running at 1280x1024, and the text is a little bit hard to read.
From reading the forums it sounds like the Dell 2007FP (or 2007WFP) is a very good monitor, but it's a bit more expensive than I was hoping to spend, also I'm worried that with smaller pixels text is going to be harder to read, than on my 17" that I have now. But maybe I'm wrong on this, with the newer technology, plus DVI?
I was thinking about getting the Dell 1907FP, it's 19" and 1280x1024 so it would be easier to read than what I have now, and the response time is pretty good, for gaming.
Are there any other monitors I should look at, or that will be coming out in the next couples months, or anyone know if there might be a price drop in the Dell 2007?

well getting a 19" non wide would kinda be dumb IMO. It has the same resolution as the 17" your running now. You can change the size of text in windows to make it easier to read (I don't know exactly how, but I'm sure a quick post or search and you could find it).

I would stick with what you have until you can save up and comfortable spend the cash on 20" wide. the 19" wides are decent, but are still only 1440x900 resolution, the 900 vertical resolution is kinda low for my liking.

As for drops in the 2007, you just have to wait for coupons to pop-up. You could get one for 300-350 with coupons, but I havn't seen any coupons lately.

Hope that helps ya and doesn't confuse your decision even more

Where do I look for these coupons? 300-350 isn't too bad, I should be able to afford that next month.

When your ready to buy check ebay for 20% off cupons, usually you can save around $70 to $80 for the 2007.
