Hi,

I was wondering if there were a command to turn off a screen...

Thanks

Control Panel> Power Options

or

Use a key combo to activate a screensaver, and specify the screensaver to (None)

For one, I think you mean the blank screensaver. However, all the blank screensaver does is put a black screen up, the monitor is still on (and wearing out), best thing to do is go to power options and get the monitor to hit standby after some time (I have 5 minutes.)
If I leave it for a long time (more than 3 or 4 hours) I turn it right off. Mostly because it's a big 19 inch CRT and i'm wary of leaving them on at all for longer than that.

Go to Gibson Research and grab Wizmo.exe

Configure it to turn off your monitor manually by adding the yellow argument in a shortcut.

"C:\Program Files\wizmo.exe" wizmo quiet shake=0 monoff shake=0 quiet
