Gateway M680 w/ 6800 can't play BF2

So i've got a Gateway M680 laptop w/ a nvidia 6800 and i'm having problems w/ battefield 2. Here's what happens when i try to run it. Double click-->Screen Flashes-->Goes back to desktop w/ BF2 Closed. Any ideas?

did u update bf2 to the lastest patch?

usually a uninstall and a reinstall fixes it

make sure bf2 isnt trying to run a res your monitor cannot support OR REFRESH RATE* - mine did this to me for the longest time...
