4Ghz Club [Core 2 Duo]

Conroe / Allendale Scores Welcomed!

This thread will retire the 5Ghz Club, which retired the 4ghz thread, and so on . This thread is much more different than the traditional Socket 478 / 6xx series CPUs, since there's so much variation with FSB, cooling, compatability, it would make it much more interesting.

On a side note, I would also like to see the 500FSB Club made as well. I don't think I have the "credentials" (an 965 board to start) to host it. Feel welcome for suggestions!

Setup as follows: (As an example)

CPU: E6700 L624A613 *Retail* (Specify whether it's a Retail, OEM, or ES)
Motherboard: Asus P5W-DH w/ MX159 (Specify Chipset Cooling Please)
Memory: 1gb x 2 Teamgroup PC5300 D9s
PowerSupply: OCZ Powerstream 520W
Cooling: Scythe Infinity w/ Delta EFB1212SHE (141CFM).

You can include any benchmarks you please, just as long as you have a 4Ghz shot included;

Anything is possible with 1.65v LOL. Last night @ 4060mhz, my temps were 47c idle and 63c load @ 1.65v actual! I would rather freeze my ass off w/ 59f ambients than having 1.5v 24/7 .

You don't EVER sleep do you? That's a blisteringly fast time for such a low FSB, nice job. Week 27 is the newest X68000 I've seen...lots of potential.

I'm with Ross on this one, I wouldn't give an ES over 1.7vcore unless it kept scaling. Now get to it and dice that thing Ross, I want to see some results.

LOL, they probably won't be 3Ds (x1900XT on stock air ) and it's not too tough to beat my SPi's on this thing. I got a new DQ6 back from RMA yesterday, so maybe I should see if it's a C2 or one of the ones that will do 600FSB before I list it in the classifieds

Maxi and Xtremeoverclocker. I am EXTREMELY impressed with your air scores. It makes me wonder why I put up with all this phase noise and heavy pricetag. Cheers fellas.

In my latest attempt to surpass 4.5 Ghz, I have sent my Vapo to Jinu117 to be modified and just finished vmodding my board. It will be ready for LN2 and a Jinu117 SS in a few weeks.

Awesome results guys!!

420FSB is around the FSB wall of a stock P5W-DH, 444FSB+ might take some cooling modification for the NB and fets or getting a diffent motherboard (the 64 WS-Proffesional's stock FSB would get you over the hump if you really want to stick to 975X)

Good luck
