Thinking of Water cooling

My first and maybe last question(depending on the answer)...Is water cooling generally quieter than air? My system is pretty quiet now, with adjustable fans, and I'm kinda picky on noise. How quiet are these pumps really? Silence has no price!

Water cooling can be as quiet or as loud as you want it to be.

my water cooling was silent. That was my #1 priority considering I sleep in the same room as my rig. And it was still better than the best air cooling with ridiculusly loud fans. But after about 9 months I just upgraded to a bit louder fans and its just like running a box fan so its still pretty quiet.
