Hi I have just spilt some water onto my Mobo by accident. It was not powered up at the time nor has it been powered up since.(not even cable connected) the main seepage was round the CPU and chipset. the board is a DFI LANparty SLI-DR. I have dabbed off all surface water and have put it into the hotpress. Anything else i can do? I heard alcahol is a good option

Thanks

Pour 90% + alch over it then blow out all the slots and stuff with compressed air. Set in front of fan for at least 24 hours to let it totally dry. You may want to remove your HSF on your chipset because that board has a foam pad around the HSF that would have absorbed the liquid. Take it off and dry it out... There are a couple of other threads around here on this, read up...
