cheap amd 64 gaming rig

I am trying to put together a cheap gaming rig for a friend. I already have case and psu that is left after putting together my bro's rig and a lite on dvd burner which refuses to be taken out the case (i got stuckin there with the tooless design thingy)

So far i gotten this:
thermatake case soprano
430w psu thermatake
lite on dvd burner

I bought some stuff of various forums also which are otw for what i think were good prices

2 x 512 xms corsair ddr500 (does about 300 mhz) $80 shipped
amd 3000+ and A8N-SLI Deluxe for $80 shipped
x800xl vivo $50

And i am sure i have a hdd laying around

Is there anything else i would need or what am i missing? Also i would like to kno would this preform well in hl2 based games like cs source? how far do 3000+ veince usually oc to and would the mobo be able to keep up with it fsb wise?

nothing "usually" oc's to anything, it's hit and miss, one cpu could oc to 600mhz, and one might not even do 10mhz.

My friends 3000+ oc'd to 2.2ghz, never really pushed it further, just settled on the easily attainable/prime95 stable 300mhz oc, I don't have the time to max his oc, that takes too much time, i have my own system and life :P

Also, he has a 3000+/1gb ddr/6600GT, it runs CS:S fine, im sure your 3000+/1gb ddr/x800xl will do just as well since it's even optimized for ATi hardware.

that should to totaly fine i have a x800pro and i get ~100 fps in CSS.
as for the oc i would guess inbetween 2.4-2.8ghz
300x9 is 2.7ghz so your ram should hold your oc back any .
