what is a good AM2 motherboard for ATI video card? I know Nforce is good, but it is made by Nvidia so I do not know how great an ATI card would work on that. what about VIA chipset?

anyways, here is the pc I have designed so far
https://secure.newegg.com/NewVersio...shListNumber=3415331&WishListTitle=David's+PC

will be used primarily for WoW and general gaming on a huge widescreen HDTV, trying to keep the final price around $780 at the most, All that I need suggestions for is a good motherboard for my budget

thanks guys, these forums rock!

P.S. check out the PSU I have choosen, It looks decent, but I am not sure about the brand, anyone have experience with Rosewill?

why don't you just buy a nvidia card then. It will be cheaper.
I would buy Nvidia, I am Nvida Fanboy, but I used the benchmarks at tomshardware.com and comapred prices of the cards and from what I saw the ATI card I choose (1900XT) is 10-20 fps faster than the Nvidia 7900GT and they are the same price.

Roswell is a generic brand.. Personally.. id use them if the PSU has good reviews.. id google for reviews on the PS model and if their bad.. well dont get it.. if their good.. then.. yeah.. get it.. Im running a generic PSU on my main rig.. so far its working good..

:::update:::

we are going to order this computer today unless someone on this board tells me somthing needs to be changed, I have checked everything out myself and I think I have everything in order, I like for other people to look over stuff and double check me, would really apreciate it

*the MSI site says 1.8v ram but the crucial site says its 2.2v ram works fine with that motherboard, anyone know about this?

*there are some comments in the newegg reviews about the MSI K9N Platinum Socket AM2 not being good for gaming and having overheating problems, I do not need a good mobo for OC, just a good stable fast mobo for gaming, will this MSI do the job? any other suggestions for good AM2 mobo around the same price?

*finally settled on the 7950GT instead of 1900XT due to newegg stock :)

*is there much of a performace difference between the asus card in my list and this card? http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16814122012 I think the only difference is the ausus has 512 mb, I think, any comments?

here is my newegg wishlist, tell me what you think, thanks!
