Do UPS/DHL/USPS/FedEx employees work on weekends?

Just wondering if any of you know anyone that works for the US Postal Service/UPS/DHL/Fed Ex?

Premise to this question, what if I send a package on Friday....most places don't deliver SAturday....but are my packages still on the road on Sat/Sunday being processed?

Did that make sense? I.E. I send something from WV to California on Friday....does my package sit in a processing center on Sat/Sunday or is it on the road closer to its destination?

As I understand it, they all work weekends. UPS does not make deliveries unless they are next, or saturday delivery packages. Fedex/DHL/USPS make saturday deliveries. From tracking packages, it does seem that packages move on sunday so just no deliveries.
