I am about to purchase a Gigabyte DS3 board for a E6600 chip, along with 2gigs of RAM.

I do plan on OC'ing this bad boy to the 3.ghz range.

Was curious, do I need any type of passing cooling for the North Bridge on this board? What about the south bridge? I have never actually put on a bridge cooler so not only am I learning, but this is new to me.

I appreciate it.

In my rig below I find the northbridge is running at 45-50c even when Folding and recoding video at the same time so far every thing is great no stability problems at all. if you feel the need a 40 or 50mm fan attached to the heat sink or aimed at it from a side vent would probably be enough.
