Which temperature to be considered CPU temp? (Opt165/x2-4400)

Checking the temps on an Opteron 165 or X2 4400+ with Everest Ultimate Edition gives 3 temperature readings: CPU, Core 1, and Core 2.

Does anybody else get this? If so, what is the temp you use when you say, "My opty peaks @ X degrees load."

Run prime95 for some time. Whichever temp goes the highest is probably your cpu temp. Otherwise, it's hard to know because the board designers could have hooked it up to any of the temperature inputs on the sensor chip.

I would say with the core 1/2 temps. they are the ones that get hot and are most likely to heat damage, where i think the CPU sensor is slightly off to the side, it wont be able to get an accurate reading.
