how do i get these working...?

Okay so i finally get my conroe system up, windows verified, then i install the drivers to use the internet.

I get it running then all of a sudden it stops, freezes, i get an NT Authority error and my pc has to restart.

I then finally manage to get it working again, get ad aware downloaded, run it, can't update because of course the net isn't working again. I find spyware! already. I am on a wired network, it should have firewall on... but this is just stupid.

On top of that the net it constantly just not functioning, and i keep getting a "HOME" network showing up on the dialup networking... when i'm using cable...

I am on some linksys router. I just want to know what some others thing... i'm so freaking stressed right now and confused on how to get this working.

so how would i fix this.. it stops working so i can't get SP2 installed, and i can't get AVG downloaded so i don't know what else to do...

Is it a legal copy of Windows?

Because if it came from a bittorrent site it might have been root kitted with the stuff that is popping up.

Other than that, I have never heard of this happening before, ever.
