Now, lets have a look at what this kernel we are to delete is a fix for.
"A security issue has been identified in the Windows Kernel that could allow an attacker to compromise your Windows-based system and gain control over it."
The point is that there are ads. I refuse to play any game that has in-game ads.z0n3 said:I don't have a problem with the in game ads in BF2142. They are not intrusive into your surfing habits. That was a myth. The ads are determined by the ads you look at in game and for how long you look at them. It may be a more detailed than that but the point is that EA isn't sniffing your cookies so that they can find out what kind of pr0n you like or what you bought off amazon.

You think this game cost anywhere near as much to make as BF2 did? This is just a MOD for the game, and a crappy one at that. There are way better mods coming out for FREE (which is the way it should be) without any ads. Why would they put ads in this game and still sell it at $50 unless they were simply greedy for money?z0n3 said:In game ads are coming. Fighting them is a losing battle. The method they used for ads in BF2142 is tasteful and I like it. I encourage ads to be done in this manner in the future. I don't like that the ads will be there but the simple fact is that the cost to make new games is increasing expotentialy with no end. Comapnies have to make money some how. It is also far more important for smaller companies than it is for EA. I would rather have ads than an increase in the cost of the game.
Ditto. I have 3.0Ghz, 2 gb ram, and a 9800 pro, and I can barely run Titan mode on all low. (I didn't buy the game, I won it in a forum contest)DarkVirusVx said:I signed. I'm not so much agenst the ads if the money went to servers but i am agenst rushed games that even after years of patched still run like crap.
