Hercules 3DPROPHET II MX

How overclockable is my card and do i use the util that is part of the setts if so whats reccommended rates as i turned the 2 sliders up to the max once and pc didn't boot ,,,,,,,,,cheerz guyz trapper

Could you be clearer with the details? What program are you using?

And surely you meant it hung, not "it wouldn't boot" as the oc'ing doesn't activate until you enter windows.

I had a Hercules 3D Prophet 2 mx 64mb, is was ok but when taking the crummy blue hsf off to oc it it broke (this happened twice!!!) I found them to be very delicate, although there are diff versions mine was like a square shape some are rectangles so these could be better.

What are the default clock speeds?

I could only get mine from 175 core to 210 (it was slower though!!!) and mem to 181 from 175!!! Thats why the core was slowing it down because MX's have limited bandwidth.

Just be careful when you oc it though!!!

My 3dprophet ii mx is clocked stably at 205/210 (core/mem). I removed the heatsink that came with it, cut it in half and stuck the 2 pieces on the rams (with a 50mm fan). I put a blorb on the core.
