OS question for Laptops

Hi,
I have decided to install a fresh copy of win xp professional on my Laptop, and i dont want to use the backup and recovery process for this installation, so i want to know if it is possible to buy a new WIN XP pro original CD and install it on my laptop, i just want to know if there is any special version of win XP for Laptops or i should get the same one i used to insyall on my desktop?

yes you can use the normal xp pro copy works great
