Overclocking my Geforce4 MX 440

Hey, I am getting a notebook soon, and I was wondering if I could OC my crappy card a bit. The original core clock frequency is 270 mhz while the memory clock frequency is 333 mhz. What is a safe overclock for this? Also, do I need a cooling device if I have no fan on the card? Finally, whats a good program to monitor temperatures for the card when I am OCing? Thanks!
