Software that allows me to pick songs from database over the internet?

Is there software that would allow me to access the songs on my home computer from work or something like that or actually from any computer that was connected to the internet?

I go to a friends part and want to bring music to play I have to bring a DVD with songs or something like that. I'd like to somehow just have winamp or whatever able to play the songs off my computer at home from anywhere. Is there any easy way to do this?
