pci 2.2 or pci-e x1?

hey guys,

i need to get an expansion card for IEEE1394b, and i have found them in 2 flavours... PCI, or PCI-e x1...

any suggestions on which way to go? i don't really know much about pci-e... and how many lanes everything can access...

planning on sticking it in an Asus P5B-E... and i am going to need whichever one is fastest...

I'd go for the PCI-E x1 card, if you have a slot for it (it will fit in any x1 or bigger slot).

PCIe would be more future-proof

If you have the port, then go for it
