what should the average idle/load temps for a pentium-m at 2.2Ghz be?
on my cousins laptop he's seing 40c idle and up to 72c load

That may be a bit high, but not crazy high.

thanks for the replies,
no volt mod only the pin mod not entirely sure though i think it was at 1.34v for the 17x multiplier
ill go take a look at it again and post more detailed info when i can and any suggestions on controlling temp?
already removed the thermal pad and used some zalman paste
im goin to probably set the fan to turn on high at a lower temp
also those laptop cooler things are out hes going to be too lazy to use it
