150MIR is a lot to wait 6months for...

I do not like to buy things with a MIR anymore.

The reason they do rebates is to hope that people turn them in late, incorrectly, or just to deny them rebates. $150 is a lot of cash. The compony might only give it after you call them up a couple times. Or maybe you will even have to go to small courts for that.

I had a friend who worked for this place answering phones for selling those bottles of viagra "like" stuff, and breast enhancement stuff etc... He said they guaranteed your money back after 30 days if you don't like it, even if it's all gone. The reason they could still make money was because they had so much in the bank for 30 days that they made money on interest then gave back the money. Maybe it's the same type of thing, except they get about 4 or 5 months of interest off ya.

There's another reason they do rebates: limiting purchases. The limit 1 rebate per person per household is the most effective way to keep one guy from buying all the stock, then turning around and selling it on ebay. That reason is the same reason most rebates won't be mailed to a P.O. Box.

And before someone suggests it, I think we can all agree that the cashiers don't get paid nearly enough to care about enforcing purchase limits if someone wants to try and ring up each item on a seperate reciept.

Well that's kinda neat. I'm keeping my B90A for my son, but that's definitely an interesting deal. I am supposed to be getting this tomorrow by the way ;)

HERE.
