zalman connector mod

Can and or has anyone modded the connector on a Zalman vf700 or equivalent to plug directly into the cards 2 pin fan connector?

i wouldn't suggest it. that out put probably has less than a 1/2 an amp at 12v.. not very much at all. if it did work, that fan would be spinning too slow to do any good.

I just soldered the 2 pin fan connector from the stock cooler onto my Zalman vf-700. Works fine. Very loud during POST, but quiets down after Windows boots and driver kicks in.
