leave it up to Halo 2 to look like garbage compared to all of the other games listed there. Nice linkage btw, I had to clean my keyboard after seeing those Alan Wake screenies.

It certainly manages to capture the ugliness of the Xbox version, I wonder if they will manage to maintain the poor quality of the original conversion.

Has anybody noticed that Unreal Tournament 3 really isn't looking so brilliant anymore. its been so long since the first screenshots came out that are are actually games that look that good out already (Gears of War), and ones coming soon that totally blow it away (Crysis, Alan Wake).

Eve online and Company of Heroes look pretty much the same "patched" as they did normal. I don't actually think that Company of Heroes changed at all because I remember seeing that screenshot in-game or something.

I know gameplay is important and all but talk about immersive graphics!! The old Harly might have to be sold so I can afford a new rig.( I use the PC more than the cycle any way.)

its good to know for those people still using xp they can play some dx 10 games, it would have to be in opengl though , well not dx 10, rather sm 4.0

if you take a look at the extentions dumped from nvoglnt.dll (96.89) youlll see alot of them are from dx 10, all you would need after that is to make sure the gaem can run in opengl

That screenshot of Flight SIM X is too good to be true. That water looks real. If it is indeed that good, well going for DX 9 to DX 10 will be revolutionary, kinda of like software rendering to 3dfx glide back in the day.

i think its fake as well, i seen it some place and someone pointed out the differences, if someone used a programs such as maya 8.0 or w.e the ycould create realistic looking water in about 5mins 4mins of that being rendering time and i assume photoshop would be used for the rest of the process. so i wouldnmt count on that one. maybe they shot from the sky looking down towards the groubd might be real. but I cant wait for alan wake been waiting for about a year and a half now.

if you guys read around im pretty sure you will find the the first flight sim x pic is pre rendered and is supposed to represent what the game will look like when running on dx10. Which we all know is a little more than what it will probably actually be able to do.
And >HyperlogiK< the reason that gears of war looks as good as Unreal tournament 2007 is because its running on the same engine but in reality I think that UT2k7 will look much better on a computer in dx10 because the 360 is not exactly on par with dx10 and sm4.0 its more like dx9.5 and sm3.5.

Alan Wake looks amazing. Just like HL2 did when I first saw it. One day, games will look like Monsters INC, Toy Story...etc

Wonder what kinda of card we will have to have to push a game like that. Probably make these 8800GTXs look like a mx400.
