ok looking into new stuff. suggestions?

I am wanting a sata hard drive to replace my ide boot drive.

I am thinking of a western digital 160gig 3.0g/s sata
or a seagate perpandicular drive.

are the perp.'s faster?

And I am getting some new ram. here is what i am looking at:

ok but would ddr500 help me out that much? I was thinking of overclocking my fsb to 250 but unsure if it would leave my system unreliable etc. is it really that better than ddr400? if so i'll look into that moreso otherwise i'll stay with the stock ddr400.

right now my timings on my sticks dont match up and they run at like 100mhz or something super slow. I just want something that will run better and faster.
