I just ordered this for $150. But I just remembered that my MB takes sata1.5 and not 3.0 . So will it work?

I could be wrong but I was under the impression that the standards are backwords compatible - the drive will work at the slower speed.

It will. I put a Spinpoint 3.0 in my NF2 board and all is well. Still quite fast.

You won't lose any performance running a SATAII drive on a SATAI controller, so no worries.

Should be fine, I bought 2 x Samsung HD080HJ drives (80gb SATA II, thought I'd future proof) and they run fine on a sata I controller on my motherboard
