i just finished building my new C2D system

I got e6600 retail about 1.5 month ago for 270 and the mother board that i ordered arrived on friday. I am very excited about my new system.
Heres my spec:

C2D e6600 retail
Asus P5N32-E SLI MOBO
crucial ballistix ddr2 8000
BFG 7950GT vga card
Creative X-Fi Fatal1ty Audio card
Zalmans 9700 LED cooler

My Asus 680i board was shipped with the very first bios even though Asus released new bios that was released couple days ago.
Well, I havent had any problems with my new board that other non-ASUS 680i users were having such as RAM issues, and PS2 imput device issues. Even though 680i boards are known to initial boot with only RAMs with 1.9v, I didnt have any problems booting with my 2.2v RAM maybe its cuz my RAM was on ASUS' QVL list.

I was reading and many evga users are stuck at the wall of 450fsb and ppl with asus 680i boards had successes with passing 500fsb so that kinda held me back from buying eVGA 680i board,, not that i am trying to bash eVGA.

well as for, overclocking, i just tried fsb at 350 so with stock multi, its running at 3.15Ghz, ran prime95 for about 3 hours, no errors and temp doesnt go over 27'c which i thought was nice.

Well, I am gonna go play with the bios n voltages to see how further my cpus n RAMs can go

IIRC he has some nice ram so your 1T results might be a little lower.
I like the evga just for shamino's review personaly
I think a Vcore or Vdroop mod might be in store for that Asus (as in forthcoming) It seems to droop pretty bad ~.13 ok that might just be pretty bad to me.

good luck with the rig, hope you like tweaking
