8800GTX 3Mark06

System specs:
AMD FX-57 @ 2.8GHz
2GB DDR433
Asus A8N32-SLI Deluxe
150GB 10k RPM HDD
eVGA 8800GTX

I get around 4100 SM 2.0 and 4400 SM3.0, is this right or is there something wrong.

I am using the latest nVidia drivers.

whats the whole score? is your card overclocked?

No my 8800 is not overclocked.

If it is anything other than 3DMark06, his GTX is REALLY underperforming. 7000s is very low for an 06 score on a GTX. I get low 8000 on a GTS.

I have a FX-57 which is single-core. That is why my 3DMark06 score is lower than yours. I am more concerned about the SM 2.0 and 3.0 scores. I realize my CPU is going to be considerably slower.

ya that cpu is really gonna hold you back.... you should upgrade to like a opty 165 and oc it. i can run about 9960 in 3dmark06

yeah def get a better cpu. i score 8600 with two 7900 gs that thing should smash my system to the ground.

I get 8910 with a 7950gx2 and an OCd Core 2 Duo, so yeah, I think you have some performance problems.

Yeah I know that. I don't care about the overall score. Just the SM 2.0 and 3.0. I realize now that the CPU is bottlenecking the card.

I have an Opteron 165 that is overclocked to 2.6GHz stable. I'll just take it from my other rig.

Yeah...get another cpu so you can post higher #'s. :beer:

Understandable if that's your gig, but it'll game as well as any other cpu from the past couple years.

I build a rig for someone recently with a quad core and 8800gtx, it pulled 11,300 or so in 06.

That CPU ain't bottlenecking the card. It's just that 06 factors in CPU scores way too much. If you get a dual core, you won't see an increase in the graphics tests.
