Im looking for a 14.1" / 14" Widescreen notebook with dedicated graphics, I dont know where to look, Gateway, dell, and hp dont really have any. Oh and most likely Core 2 type processor. Any brands/model would be helpful.

budget ?

Basic setup = $919

Core 2 Duo @ 1.66Ghz t5500
XP MC / Home / +100 for pro upgrade.
14" WideXGA 1280 x 768 LCD with Webcam
Intel® 945GM + ICH7 Chipset
512MB DDR2 667mhz
60GB SATA 5400rpm
8X Dual Layer DVD+/-RW / 24X CD-RW Combo
Intel® GMA 950 Extreme Graphics
7.1 HD Audio
Internal Intel® PRO Wireless 3945 a/b/g Mini-Card
Integrated 10/1000Mb Gigabit Ethernet & 56K V.92 Modem

so for trhe price and brand i dontr think you can beat the quality.

The ASUS is nice but a little pricey, my budget is as close to a 1000 as possible but a little bit over is not a problem.

I priced out an E1505 (which fit the budget) but thing is 15.4 is a little big for portability, Dell wont let me strip the OS (the two people I talked to were quite adamant about this and wouldnt explain why), and their 1405 does not come with dedicated graphics (Which would solve the problem)

Anyway, I dont need great or the best graphics just something better than integrated intel...

Im going slightly off topic, but I think dell has a contract with micro$oft.

I doubt your going to find a 14" screen with a highend gfx card, since most gamers want big screens and most companies want to please the majority.

You can find a system with dedicated graphics and 14" screen like the Asus A8J posted above (which has great specs). You will not be finding one for ~$1000 though. If you want to go smaller with more options in a laptop, you will be paying for it.

I was looking at a barebones Compal GL30 with a 7600 Go ( ~630) and then I could just grab a T7200, 7200 RPM drive, and 1gb/2gb of memory and still manage to keep it close to 1100.

Compal barebones will run about $660 + shipping (cheapest I found)
T7200 $300
80gig 7200 drive $100
1gig memory $100

totals around 1180 or so after shipping which is not bad at all. Still need a wireless card and OS though, unless you allready have an OS. Let me know if you go for this build because I am looking to build something almost exactly like this in the near future. Something small that could still play games like CSS.

You could knock $100 off by getting a T5500 instead (1.66mHz, 2mb cache). You probably would not even be able to notice the difference and it certainly would not be bottlenecking a 7600 card.

checkout this Asus a8j...14" screen with nice 1440x900 resolution as well as x1700 graphics and a T7200. Pretty reasonable price for those specs.

Most of the posts I've seen about the a8j with T7200 say they have been disappointed with it for the price they paid. And 1.5k is kinda out of my budget and I don't need killer graphics just something better than Intel integrated....

EDIT: I just posted somewhat of a cyber deal on ram http://www.ocforums.com/showthread.php?t=492681
depending on if you got any gift cards or not for BB
