GFX currption with 6600 AGP


Hi i have a 6600 that suffers for GFX curuption, normally after a little white of use.



I have the latest drivers 97.44, any ideas how to solve.

check screen for idea of what i mean. I think this is a common problem.

is it the driver, heat, settings to high (although frame rates are ok and it happens after a little while somtimes not at all, power supply ? What do peeps think?

I have a 6600 GT (made by gigabyte) I've never had any probs (even when I OC'd it) what card do you have exactly (make/model/revision)? can you monitor the tempretures? Is the card OC'd? Has it ever been?

Have you tried removing and resinstalling the graphics driver?

Yes tried several, i think the powersupply may be dying but was hoping someone could back up the theroey.

All my friends are now running pci express.

Core gfx card temps are 63-64 C is this too high?

here is another example of the curruption, i have had other people mention the same thing on there cards. My card is an Xpertvision.

Ew, I got that back when I used generic RAM (Ultra I believe)

Try running a memtest or something. It could still be the video card though.
