I got a new hardrive for x-mas to replace my old 60gig curropt drive.
I removed the old drive and started a new with the new 250 gb drive--I reformatted the new drive, and reinstalled win xp-pro.

However it only installed up to 137gb---because its running on the 28-bit addressing.
I want to run it at the 48-bit addressing, and so I installed windows Sp2/updates e.t.c. and I still can't get the full 250gbs out of the hardrive!!

Help plz!!!

You'll need to format the empty partition from within the Computer Management Console (Start | Run | Type compmgmt.msc /s, and click OK) | Click on Storage --> Disk Management, and locate the unformatted partition | Right click the partition for a list of available options.
