Question on a Modular psu??

I know this sound like a nub question but can you take out a cable that not in use.

Yes. That's the idea of a modular PSU. You only attach what your using.

except for the p+ or any cable that would attach to the mobo, those are usualy hardwired on

Some modular psu come with all of the cables removable. Other modular come with 24pin, 8pin, 4pin attached to psu while the rest can be removed.

ME too, In my Antec the lower chamber is a little too small for all the cables.
