Fix Laptop. NO Power Adaptor?

Hi there.

A friend gave me a laptop, she said I can have it if I can fix it.

I can see the problem.

The Power Input on the laptop has been de-soldered off! (dont ask me why because I dont know).

So I need to re-solder the power block, but the question is... where can you get parts like these? (I found a similar block on a old cable modem, but the pins are the wrong way around)... There must be parts like this available.

Please help, any suggestions? Would really like to get this up and running for me! I cant afford one myself

This is actually a common problem among certain laptop brands/models.
