~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Again, Thanks for taking the time to allow me to interview you.
When did you join the Team? Approximate date is ok if you don't know the specific date.
First work unit turned in under "Bayna" Jan 06, 2006.
If there was something recent that you did that you wanted your fellow teammembers to know about, what would it be?
Just past the million milestone.
What is your EOC (extremeoverclockers) stats link?
EOC
You do not have to give specifics (address), but what State do you live in, and if you don't mind telling, what town? (town is not required, but if not a town, a general direction and distance from the nearest 'big town/city' would suffice)
I live in central Ontario, about 20 min. north of Toronto.
How did you initially hear about F@H?
I honestly don't remember. It was either reseaching system parts/overclocks here, or reseaching cancer in general.
After starting, why do you continue to Fold?
I was folding off and on for awhile under different handles. Example. http://fah-web.stanford.edu/cgi-bin/...0%40Fvxw%2Eevx
Then last christmas i got the idea of folding everything i had and could build or get ahold of, under "Bayna" (my mother, passed away late last November)
The Folding@Home project makes me feel like i'm helping. Something i was never able to feel while mom was fighting.
Cancer makes you feel so helpless, when a loved one is involved.
I will continue to fold as long as i think i'm helping. (Someone, someday)
What do you do for a living?
I work at a local Chrysler dealership under many titles, the main being new car/ fleet mgr.
What do you do for fun?
Work more. j/k I like to build/rebuild things models, cars/engines, computers, basement etc. When time allows I like being outdoors fishing, camping, scuba diving etc or just exploring new trails in a 4X4 or on the three wheeler.
Is there anything special you do in your spare time that you really enjoy?
Spending time with my girlfriend and her son.
Time to spill your guts. What are the stats of your main folding rig? Why is it your fave? What all do you use the rig for?
My main system is used for web, email, gaming, music storage, audio/video and Folding. Specs:
Abit AB9 Pro w/E6400 @ 3600
Ocz xtc 1g X 2
Fsp 550-60plg
X1900XT
Lite-on DVD burner
320g perps X 3 Raid 0
Xp-120 w/med speed panaflo
Do you have a Borg-Farm? If so, how many computers, and what are they? (CPU, RAM)
At work a couple PIII 733's, 4 or five P4 2.4b's and a hand full of P4 3.2's. At home main rig plus: an old dual PIII server, celly's @ 3.2 and 3.6, D805 @ 3.6 and 3.8, three E6300's @ 3400, 3300 and 3200. The rest are friend and family borg's of varying specs.
What are your future goals? What do you most want to accomplish with your life?
Be healthy and happy. Retire to a kick ass cottage on a private lake up north. I don't need much.
If there is something you want to tell the team, then spill your guts! What have I missed in my questions that could help the team learn more about you and who you are?
Fold for whatever reason you want. Just FOLD.
If your ever heading north of Toronto, stop in for a real (Canadian)
Hey Bayna, I remember when you quickly shot past me in the rankings. Nice borgs, and sorry to hear about your mother, cancer is a nasty scum.
Fold on for Team32!
