No sound from Bose QC3 headphones when used with iPod shuffle?

So my boss bought one of the new 1 gig iPod Shuffles. He also has some Bose QuietComfort 3 noise cancelling headphones (REALLY NICE!). He says that when he tries to use the headphones with the iPod that he gets no sound, although the headphones work fine with a cheap Lexar MP3 player, and the supplied Apple earbuds work fine with the iPod. The battery supplied with the Bose headphones is fully charged.

He will bring it in tomorrow for me to look at but I'm curious if anybody has had difficulty powering certain headphones with their iPod shuffle?

Hmm... try it with something other than just one different device.

It worked fine for me today when I tried it. haha

LOL, I don't think he had the iPod Shuffle turned on when he first tried.
