T800UX2GC4 - is the Model number with tight timing (4-4-3-8) ...

I've read many reviews on this RAM and seems impressive enough. But I'm wondering if they are still using the D9's on the new ones or have they changed?

Anyone using this RAM and if so what are is your experience?

It's no longer guaranteed D9. It seems like a lot of it uses Promos these days, which also clocks quite well.

Yep, it's a toss up with this memory. Some people say it's D9, other say it's Promos. I don't think I would chance it. Try and find a set of true D9 memory.

I just received a reply from Super Talent tech support and I quote

Probably Elpidas, but we do not specify which DRAM chips we use for our memory modules because we source from multiple manufactures.
