Anybody know if the pumps that come with the TT Bigwater 735/745 are submersible? I've done a good bit of research, but i cant seem to find an answer, and thermaltake tech support has no idea. I'm doing a passive wc project for a friend, and if i don't need a pump for it, it will be totally free.

Hmm.. lets say i use silicone caulk to seal up all orifices except the inlet and outlet. Would the pump overheat, still fry, or would the lack of air vents just cause it not to run by preventing movement of air that would be caused by the pump pumping?

Or might it work?

I doubt it would work. They are there for a reason. If they are used for cooling, where would the heat go? right into the water loop. And since its passive, this would not be good.
