Alright, i have no idea what i'm doing, but i got the genius idea into my head to get a new motherboard and then a new processor. I have been reading up on the K7 and it says it can handle an 800-1.2 athalon processor, and other socket A processors that operate with 200/233mhz (or 266, i forget). Does this mean that new processors yet to come when they wrote this will be able to work, like maybe an athalon 1.8G?
I'd really appreciate some help, i'm pretty much an idiot.
Thanks

Don't worry, you're not an idiot, you just don't know what you're doing

Abit doesn't make a "K7"???

If you would tell me what the entire name of your mobo is, and I will be happy to help you out!

:)
