Flickering PSU Light

The light on our Compaq on the PSU has started blinking, and flickering. I can't boot the computer anymore either, the system boot LED blinks and flicks too.

Any ideas? New PSU?

How old is it? Looks like OCP kicked in. Ageing of components would be the cause in case of an old unit.

Hmm..I'm going to say...3-4 years? It has a 2.7ghz Celeron and 256MB RAM, if that helps as a reference point.

Nah if I need a new PSU I can just put in my Fortron 350W.

I think the power connectors are proprietary..........they are on my old Dell.

Hmm...do you know which connectors? Last time I checked..which wasn't carefully, I didn't see anything odd. I'll check now though.

EDIT: nope, it's standard connectors.

I think the 20 pin/24pin/Intel 4 pins. Check out Jiggaman's URL. I don't know the specifics but I prepared myself in the event I need one for the old Dell.

Replaced the PSU w/ my Forton 350W...works fine now

Gutted the old PSU for a fan woo hoo lol.
