Timing out?

HELP MEH! My internet keeps dying, and i cant find out why. It just dies at random times, unless I'm downloading something. What could be causing this? I recently installed a phone in another room, could this be causing it?

What kind of connection do you have? Wired, wireless, cable, dsl, etc? Are you using a usb adapter and if you have dsl do you have phone filters installed properly?

My bad, I should have updated you guys, it was lack of filter in the living room
