viewing XML files

Hey all, I DL'd a very large xml file (4gb's), and I want to be able to look at it offline. When I try to open it it views it as source code and eats all my RAM.

*edit* after talking to a buddy who kinda knows this stuff I guess it won't work. Basicly what I want to do is have wickepedia available offline....what does this require?

Do you just want the static html? I suppose yes, since you seem to want it as a reference offline. Quite apparently you can do so here. The static html dumps are from November of last year, though. The actual data dumps are more recent (ctrl-f enwiki on that page).
