My E6600 machine has been wounded since saturday.
It all started saturday. Heaven forbid I installed a sound blaster 5.1 live. Turned off the native sound and popped in the sb. The gigabyte dq6 fliped its self back to F8 bios from F9 and went down hill from there.
I reinstalled the F9 bios. Got my OC back all seemed well. The machine seemed fine. Except is wont SMP fold the 1760 point packets anymore. I'm running VMware. Im getting scaling, comm, cant write local files error's. Then to top it off yesterday I found the machine had BSOD when I came home from work.
I wake up this am with a MPI_sendrecv error.
Ive dropped the OC.
I just cant believe the SB 5.1 live has caused all this mess. The on board sound sucks.
Any thoughts welcome.
