is gigabit really worth it for lan parties? im tempted, but theres a 100mb router for 15 bucks... im thinking about getting that one.

For playing 100mb should be fine, but if you are gonna transfer big patches or something like that gigabit would help.

Totally agreed. If I had a lan party it would basically consist of some people playing and other transferring files which really starts to saturate a bad 100mb switch. Hopefully this will walk right over that.

BY THE WAY: REMEMBER YOU NEED TO HAVE GIGABIT CAPABILITIES ON YOUR COMPUTER TOO!!!! And cat6 ethernet if you are going over long distances.
 
just got the switch. Time to test this sucker out!

Update: Absolutely PAINLESS setup. Not surprising though. Hard to mess up a switch...
