I am currently attempting to troubleshoot an older Dell Presicion workstation with a nVidia Quadro4 AGP GPU. After reinstalling Windows on the system, I run into an infinite driver loop caused by nv4_disp.dll which prevents me from booting it into Windows even right after the fresh install is complete. It will boot into Safe Mode, but nothing else. One thing that I did notice is that the VGA Fan is non-operational and the card is getting extremely hot. Would the overheating card be causing this driver loop or is it something within Windows?
