LG, better dvd burner than samsung?

Sorry I don't have any model numbers. I can get the burner for free. With the samsung, even using verbatim discs at 4x, I get 6,000 PIO errors/failures (the first chart), and the average is about 2,000. Would an LG be better?

My LG burner works fine, had it a few months now, and have burnt about 50 console games, all worked fine.

I haven't had any issues with my LG burner either.
