~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Again, Thanks for taking the time to allow me to interview you.
When did you join the Team? Approximate date is ok if you don't know the specific date.
Sept 2006 but it seems longer.
If there was something recent that you did that you wanted your fellow teammembers to know about, what would it be?
Started using linux, Going to pay my house off in 8 months so thats cool.(Then I can afford some real shiny parts for folding)
What is your EOC (extremeoverclockers) stats link?
Link
You do not have to give specifics (address), but what State do you live in, and if you don't mind telling, what town? (town is not required, but if not a town, a general direction and distance from the nearest 'big town/city' would suffice)
West and north of Philadelpia, Pennsylvania, Near a town called Springmont There is a small Ski mountain 1/2 mile away where I learned to ski 40 years ago and now my daughter ski's there.
How did you initially hear about F@H?
Saw a call to arms in the Folding section in Sept and wanted to help the Team
After starting, why do you continue to Fold?
An excuse to build Rigs, the competition, but mainly to help the people on the Team that place a high level of importance on it. My closest friend has something that might be cured, as well.
What do you do for a living?
An Over the road truck driver... but I get home almost every night, I drive a Model 379 2007 Peterbilt 435HP big truck and pull a tanker. We run from the Canadian border down to North Carolina and as far West as Indianna.
What do you do for fun?
Its a long list I enjoy everything including work. I spend lots of time with my 10 year old daughter Sking, Skating, Rollerblading, Swimming, Biking, Golf etc.We play cards too, I have lost aprox. 250 straight games of fish. I also like to ride my Harley(Wife won't let my kid ride) so I ride it to work. I read a lot. We all do a lot of Soduku puzzles. We also travel a lot.[
Is there anything special you do in your spare time that you really enjoy?
Remodel my house. We do one or two big projects every year. I built her a dream kitchen a few years ago and right now I am remodelling my daughters bathroom.
Time to spill your guts. What are the stats of your main folding rig? Why is it your fave? What all do you use the rig for?
The one in sig. CM Wavemaster Case(With the window)E6600 @3.15GHz P5B Deluxe, Blue lighted etc. It has the 24' Widescreen screen thats why its the fave Used for Folding, school work the usual stuff. I used to game but it slows down my folding so I have stopped almost completly.
Do you have a Borg-Farm? If so, how many computers, and what are they? (CPU, RAM)
No just the 3 rigs in my sig. I will continue to rebuild them or replace as dictated by needs. Quad cores are next and maybe a laptop to take to work with me.
What are your future goals? What do you most want to accomplish with your life?
My wife and I have traveled and skied all over North America and we want to take my daughter to all these places now. Most importantly get my daughter through college. I have had a full rich life so far and hope it continues.
If there is something you want to tell the team, then spill your guts! What have I missed in my questions that could help the team learn more about you and who you are?
I laugh at almost everything(not in a mean way more like a hobbit) and enjoy where I am at and what I am doing when I am doing it. I don't need much to keep me happy. (It could be because I killed to many braincells when I was younger but I won't go into that.)
and of course, a pic is worth a thousand word!!
Good to finally meet you dfonda , you've got to be one of the best people on this Team 32 forum.
Edit: Hey , without a doubt that's a good picture of your house (with your daughter in the front?), but I'd have rather seen a picture of your daughter with the house in the background
Just need to install one of Macaholic's powerbooks in it.
There are enough wifi hot spots popping up anymore this will be a goal this year.(Uh and a tax write off)
Oh and Console talk about great sking my wife and I were in Lake Louise back in 96. Up in your neck of the woods we didn't have to worry about finding a Taco bell on the slopes like down here in the States The prettiest section of the Rockies.
Hey bro, they haven't got a camera with a thick enough lens to take my pic . I wasn't trying to mind your business with the picture thing, I just figured your daughter probably looked a whole lot better than some ole' house. (your house looks nice too )
