Sleeping Disorders

My wife says I twitch at night when I sleep and it keeps her awake some times. I do not even realise I am doing this while I sleep and I do not do it while I am awake.

I am pretty sure this is a sleeping disorder. Muscle twitching invuluntarily while asleep or something?

Anyone experience this and know if there is something I can try that is over the counter to maybe see if it stops?

I could probably see a Doctor, but not even sure if there is anything they could do to alleviate it? I have no muscle twitching problems while I am awake. My leg might twich once in a while, but it rarely occurs and only if my leg starts to fall asleep.

It isnt a sleeping disorder I dont think.. It might be a symtom of one.. but.. when I was younger i always kicked around in bed.. its natural for us to do odd things in our sleep most of the time.

I would initially say it has to do with unconscious reactions to the dreams you are having. Just a guess though.

I got out last August as a 25D (25B slot though). Noting the signal corp insignia

Your doctor might prescribe you a low-dose muscle relaxant to take before bed. Beyond that there's not much he could do, and not much you can do, either (besides sleeping in another bed).

I wish there was something I could do for my snoring, I like to sleep on my back and that is when I snore my worst. I live in new orleans now, and um....many different "girlfriends" sleep over and they all complain about my snoring, I wonder what I can do about this, time for some research. I can possibly be sleeping my best when I snore so loud.

There are those strips that you can put on your nose which increase the airflow through your nasal passages. That should help with snoring.

5mg of Cyclobenzaprine is what the doctor will give you, it doesn't work too well though. Try stretching your legs before going to sleep, that may help.

Do you have bad dreams?

I am a 25B instructor at Fort Gordon. I currently am the NCOIC of the Funeral Detachment. I have conducted over 42 Full military honors for my fallen comrades, to include two that were KIA from Iraq. Very patriotic duty and I love being a part of it

Is this over the counter? Can I go to a drug store and just buy it?

I do not have bad dreams, that I know of.
